Dear All, I have a mission-on to East Australia/ Sydney-Cairns-Sydney. First 3 weeks in March. My missus is an Air Hosty so the flying part is nailed. Our indecision is this. Camper waggon from Cairns is two thirds more costly than a car. The two thirds saved could buy us into cheap hotels instead. As much as I've googled I cant seem to find RV spots for free along the Aus East coast. There are pay RV sites but nearly as much as a cheap hotel it seems. Car will use a 1/3 less fuel also. The Whitsunday's are also on our list to stop by. Again no real info of free RV sites. I dont doubt one could just pull over somewhere on the trip and bed for the night in a camper but basics like a loo & shower will be needed especially for my lady. Also security and being moved on by the law worries my missus. Can anyone who's camper-van'ed the east coast of Aus or driven it drop us some good intel ? Many Thanks, Green.
