Travelling around central Cali in November and planning to get some wave action. Any recommendations around Big Sur, san Fran Bay?

just head down to ocean beach. can be a world class beach break. just find the right bank . be warned that place is like the coldwater puerto escondido! can get super heavy.

also fort point under the golden gate bridge but that place is such a locals only spot you will be lucky to get waves.

try not to think about great white sharks! lots of them about.

i love san francisco , it is a really cool city.

Thanks Sam. Ocean Beach is definitely on my list. Out of interest, what thickness wetsuit around there at that time of year? And what about the Santa cruz area?

The rock in morro bay was good when l was there. Pismo and the surrounding area has some cracking waves judging on the footage that the rookies crew puts out. Wetsuit wise you're probably looking at wearing a 4/3 and 3mm socks l reckon.

Cheers Kevin. Getting the 5/4/3 dry after last weeks outing ready to head to Cali on Wednesday. Looks like the main surf time will be spent at Santa Cruz now but am always ready to divert Oceanside!
